Our Services
The O’Connor House Mission is to provide a Christian home to help homeless, single, pregnant women improve life for themselves and their children.
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
SAFE HOUSEING
Mothers may live at The O’Connor House for up to 18 months with their newborn and up to two additional children under age 5. Each family is given a private room to ensure comfort, safety, and personal space.
TRANSPORTAION SUPPORT
With the help of staff and volunteers, we offer transportation including rides to work, school, daycare, medical appointments, grocery stores, and more.
EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT
We encourage each woman to complete her high school diploma and support her with career guidance and tools for long-term independence.
LIFE SKILLS TRAINING & WELLNESS
Our Life Skills Program equips residents with practical knowledge and confidence through weekly classes and personalized goal setting. Topics include budgeting, time management, parenting, and preparation for independent living. Additionally, residents receive holistic care through weekly professional counseling, Bible study, and educational classes focused on prenatal health, parenting, cooking, and nutrition.
NUTRITIOUS MEALS
Our fully equipped community kitchen allows residents to prepare meals for their families. We offer access to shared pantry staples, fresh produce from our on-site gardens, and a weekly “Community Night” dinner—prepared by a different resident each week to foster connection and fellowship. Additionally, each mother works with the social worker to receive Food Stamps and WIC.
CLOTHING ASSISTANCE
We provide essential clothing for moms and their children—whether it’s professional attire, everyday wear, baby clothes, or seasonal items.
A HOME FILLED WITH LOVE
More than anything, The O’Connor House is a place of compassion, dignity, and hope. Our dedicated staff and volunteers walk alongside each woman with encouragement and care, empowering her to build a foundation for lasting success—for herself and for her children.
